Wow VueJardin! looks like your garden is making good progress with so many tomoatoes ripening. The only edible plant in my garden is the sweet potato he he... and I don't think I could harvest soon. Btw, have you heard that the snake plant (Sansevieria) is used to boil juice to drink? It is believed to have some healing properties. Hmm... I have to check on this again. Btw, it was a landscape architect told me.
ReplyDeleteOh regarding my trips to nurseries, my husband accompanies me all the time. So safe and sound. We do not have children so going around town is how we spend time together nowadays :-)
They look like they will go on forever and are a nice juicy red!
ReplyDeleteStephanie -I google the Snake plant (Sansevieria) photo, it looks like the one I have at home

It is very interesting, my mom said it can produce lots of oxygen, and most people put it inside the house or office. I think it can help to clean indoor air, but not sure what other healing properties it has...

Tina - Most of the tomato flowers became the deers' snack, these are just a few one left. It is a short season this year.
ReplyDeleteVueJardin, thank you for that link. Good to know that the snake plant produces lots of oxygen :-D I am with you on the healing property part.
ReplyDeleteJust like you, I am enjoying fresh tomatoes this week, the first of the season. I still have a few cucumbers left, and of course green onions and dill. I think I spied a few green beans leftover, I'll throw those into a stir fry tomorrow night.
ReplyDeleteMsRobin - Good for you, your tomatoes still can last a long time, I don't have cucumbers, I plan to put up an arch to support some green beans and cucumbers next year. Enjoy your sweet harvest!
ReplyDeleteWe've been harvesting a few tomatoes and some eggplants.
ReplyDeleteThey look so yummy on the vine! I love fresh tomatoes and have never really been a tomato eater until growing my own. I seem to have the best luck with the Roma’s and therefore, lots of sauce to place over pasta! Yum....

ReplyDeleteI guess almost every vegetable garden will have tomatoes this summer!
