Spicy Basil

Spicy basil has smaller leaves than regular basil, it has tiny white flowers.
Plant it end of February under the partial shade and enjoy the harvest for 8 months.

Spinach, Spicy Globe Basil (Ocimum Basilicum), Okra

Here are some of the mixed greens planted close to the patio for quick harvest: Spinach in flower pot (almost the last batch), and okra (still small but probably needs to relocate it to the ground). I have been harvesting spicy globe basil every week; it is not really spicy but tastier than regular basil.

From Garden To Dining Table

Garden harvest for this week:
Romaine Lettuce, mint, green onion, spicy globe basil (Ocimum Basilicum)...
Make a good use of the Easter basket :P
More vegetables and herbs

Some pasta to go with the home grown vegetables
Wash the Romanian lettuce

The leaves are quite thick... possible it's too old?
So instead of using it for salad, I decide to cook it with fish, zucchini, some garlic, onion oil and oyster sauce. A simple meal for the whole family :-)
What did you harvest from your garden lately?
Happy gardening!

White and Purple Flower Basil

Cinnamon Basil has distinctive cinnamon-colored stems, purple flowers tinged with bronze, and small- to medium-sized, dark green leaves.
Magical Michael reliably grows uniformly 15 inches tall and 16-17 inches wide. The small white flowers are attractive as a garnish, and very attractive to bees.

Spicy Basil

I love the flavor and aroma from the Spicy Globe Basil. Leaves can be harvested before the plant flowers, it will regrow and produce additional leaves. The best time to harvest basil herb is in the morning or evening, when it's not too warm.
