See the blackberry plant just arrived from the nursery last month.
It is now growing quite well and blooming with some large white flowers. It loves full sun and 10-10-10 fertilizer. This type of blackberry production is initially expended from Mexico, the name is based on 'Brazos', an old erect blackberry cultivar later developed in Texas in 1959.

I have some in my garden and do adore fresh delicious fat blackberries. I know exactly when to pick them-when the bees are buzzing around. Those will be huge blackberries judging by the size of the flowers.
ReplyDeleteLove blackberries! Enjoy yours.
ReplyDeleteI like the first photo very much. Now I can see how Blackberry flowers look like from near. Hmm... I don't remember tasting the fruit. Oh I am not sure, but we have blueberries and raspberry sold here... imported and very expensive!
ReplyDeleteTina, Kim and Victoria, & Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, this is the first time I plant blackberry, glad to know that we can judge blackberries' fruit size from the flowers.
Cheers!
