Hydrangea - Flower of The Week

After lots of love and care... the hydrangeas finally bloom all week long throughout my garden (see previous post).

Nothing can beat the fresh cut summer flowers
Home grown fresh hydrangea for indoor decoration

Hydrangeas can be used as centerpiece too

Isn't it nice to have fresh flowers from the garden everyday?

Green netting to protect the flowers, try to hide hydrangeas from the deers ;-)
Hydrangeas continue to bloom...

Hydrangeas

Beautiful Hydrangeas, but not easy to take care
  • At least 6 hours of sun with partial shade in the afternoon
  • Prun during fall or early spring
  • Protect from late spring freezes
  • Add some fertilizer in spring / early summer, let it rest during fall. Don't put too much, it will kill the hydrangeas.
  • Needs a lot of water, protect it from summer afternoon heat.
