American holly (Ilex opaca) and unknown purple flower

This unknown purple flower is planted same pot with the American holly.
The holloy tree didn't produce red berries like most of the shrub, possible it needs another female plant in order for it to yield berries?

    The plant with purple flowers reminds me Vinca minor. I have a pictire of it growing in masses in my post April Lovely.
